
On April 4-12 of 2009, Dr. Rife and 13 other volunteers went to the Amazon
with the World Hope Missions Ministry in Longwood, Florida. They visited the
City of Itapeacu(aprox.4000 inhabitants) and Costa do Amazonas Village. Dr.
Rife was involved in 150 dental procedures which involved 35 patients
treated on a Red Cross Boat. She and another associate, Dr. Michael Abufaris
, gave preventive dental work to 247 children along with 26 dental
surgeries.

Some other remarkable things included that they held 3 heath
care education meetings for 18 women, 12 men and 28 teenagers. donations
were distributed among 85 families, 398 children attended Vacation Bible
School and they held 5 worship services with 12 adults accepting Christ as
the Savior. " I will probably get more out of this trip than the people we
are going to help she says".

Dr. Rife donates her dental services to the
Foundation for Foster Children.
In Oct of 2009, Dr. Rife did her first
triathlon and finished in third place female overall in the Sprint Triathlon
at the Masters Championship.She plans to compete this year in a number of
other events.
